The Spotlight / NSDF Edinburgh Showcase took place on Saturday, with fifteen fantastic performances from the Festival’s most talented new student actors.
Nearly 100 students auditioned to take part in the Showcase, with the final fifteen selected by a panel of experts including Kahleen Crawford (Casting Director) and Maryam Hunwick (Agent).
They performed in front of an exclusive audience of industry professionals, giving them a unique opportunity to boost their fledgling professional careers.

Spotlight is delighted to announce this year’s Spotlight Prize Winners. They are:
Best female actor - Chloe Thorpe (wins £1500)
Best male actor - Francis Ortega (wins £1500)
Highly commended female actor - Iris Roberts (£1000)
Highly commended male actor - Luke Kempner (£1000)
The judges also gave a special mention to Sophie Stone and James Britton.
The prizes were awarded based on their performances in the Spotlight Showcases, which took place earlier this week.
