Are you a student? Are you performing at the Edinburgh Fringe this year? If so, make sure you audition to appear in Spotlight's Edinburgh Showcase.
The Spotlight Edinburgh Showcase, in conjunction with NSDF (National Student Drama Festival), is taking place on Saturday 23rd August at Dance Base (Venue 22) from 17.00 - 18.00.
Spotlight will invite a selected audience of industry professionals, including agents and casting directors, so it's a unique opportunity to promote yourself and give a huge boost to your acting career.
There are twelve slots available for the Showcase, which will be chosen by auditions (with a panel comprising a leading casting director, director and representatives from Spotlight / NSDF).
Auditions take place on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th August at the Mysterious venue, within Universal Arts on George Street. To reserve an audition slot, please email holly@nsdf.org.uk with details of your name, your audition piece, a preferred date (either 16th or 17th August) and a selection of preferred times. Slots will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
Audition pieces must be no longer than 3 minutes, and there will be a brief feedback session after each piece. You are also very welcome to bring along your CV and headshot for an informal "CV surgery" with an expert from Spotlight, while you wait for your slot.
Any full-time student (up to a year after graduation) with a production in the Edinburgh Festival is eligible to audition. So please spread the word!
